How Do Sand Filters Work?

Sand filters work in a closed circuit. The water enters the ducts located on the side, and the bottom then passes through the sand filter, where the particles remain trapped by the silica crystals: the water then comes out clean. Once cleaned, there will be no hygiene problems.

For this, a pump with a flow of 8m3 / h will be able to filter water and circulate up to 8000 litres of water per hour. You need to calculate the volume and divide it by the flow.
In this way, a swimming pool of 8 × 4 meters, with a depth of 1.5 meters, will have a total capacity of 48000 litres. If your pump has a flow of 10m3 / h, it will take 4.8 hours to clean the pool thoroughly. If the capacity increases, you will need a shoe with a higher power.
