What is a gas detector?
A gas detector (or gas sensor) is a device that detects the presence of one or more types of gas in an environment. As part of the home security system, a gas detector is an appliance that has the sole function of guaranteeing the quality of the air by constantly measuring the degree of toxicity of the surrounding environment.
A small distraction such as the gas stove on or falling asleep forgetting the fireplace or the natural gas stove in operation could cause potentially fatal accidents.

It is often called the “silent killer” because it is not perceptible through the senses: we can neither smell it, nor taste it, nor see it. The initial symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning, tiredness, and headache are similar to those of the flu, which can make it difficult to make a diagnosis.

Safety

The gas detector must not be placed near air intakes, fans, air outlets of air conditioning systems, or in areas with high humidity or escaping vapors (for example in the bathroom);

Carbon monoxide has a specific gravity almost equal to that of air, which is why the exact height where the gas is deposited is not detectable; in this case, the detector can, therefore, be installed at a height of about 1.50 meters from the floor.
