Best Windshield Sun Shade Buyer Guide
The former is the more traditional, the suckers are generally two although you can find specific models with one only at the top and a hook at the bottom, mostly used in the rear seats to protect children.

As for the models without suction cups, the simplest is the accordion ones, which, by folding, occupy a tiny footprint and bind to the two sun visors. Easy to assemble, they usually have a meager price but are not the best in terms of effectiveness.
The most modern parasols, however, consist of two central circles that ensure the necessary stability to the whole structure but are not fixed. They expand and adapt to the windshields of various sizes, ideal for those with more than one car.
Effectiveness and Size
The car sunshade is essential for two reasons: first of all, to be able to leave immediately with the car, without having to wait for the steering and seats to cool down and then because, over time, the sun can ruin the upholstery, discoloring it.
The difference between the best brand models and the others lies in the effectiveness they guarantee. They must be built with quality materials in order not to be damaged at the first impact and, above all, they must be able to shield the sun entirely. The best ones get to block 99% of harmful UV rays.
The size of the sunshade is strictly linked to its effectiveness because, as previously mentioned, if you buy a model that is too small or, in any case, not suitable for your windshield, the sun’s rays will be able to enter from the slits left on the side. The advice is to compare the windshield sizes with those of the sunshade you want to buy, even in plastic ones.
Finally, pay attention to the rearview mirror. If it is installed on the glass, the sun visor may not adapt, and the risk is that of having to place it on the dashboard obtaining poor results.
Practicality
Those who compare prices and services may also be interested in inconvenience. The parasol, with or without suction cups, should be simple to fix and remove.
The more practical ones can be installed and removed in an instant. At the same time, the best ones also offer another advantage: the possibility of folding up occupying a tiny footprint.
The traditional fixed models must necessarily be stored in the trunk of the car due to the space occupied, the accordion ones, once folded, are fragile but may prove to be too long. The most ingenious models are those that close entirely on themselves and can be stored anywhere, in the side pocket of the car and even in the sun visor.

On days when the sun hits hard, if the car is left for several hours under the action of the sun’s rays, it is necessary to have a useful parasol that limits the increase in temperature inside the passenger compartment.
