Buying Guide to Select the Best Blind Spot Mirror
There are a few things you should consider when buying a Road Mirror. We spent 49 hours researching the most important things you should consider when buying a Street Mirror. So should we start with the list of things you should consider?
- Adjust Your Mirrors: Before installing a blind mirror, make sure the side mirrors are properly adjusted. Most drivers position the mirror so they can see part of their car – that’s wrong. You should see very little if any, of your car in the side view. It should be positioned so that you can see behind and behind the car.
- Size and Shape: You will find different sizes and shapes for blind mirrors. Round is the most common, but there are also ovals, rectangles and other shapes. Choose one that fits the shape and size of your side view mirror (for example, a Buick Century has a differently shaped side mirror compared to an F250).
- Mounting Method: Most blind mirrors use double-sided tape to attach to the outer edge of the side view mirror glass. However, you will find some that use suction cups and others are designed to bolt the housing. Generally, tape or other adhesive is the best option.
