Fixed vs. Cordless
Although corded landlines seem to belong to another era, it is still a good idea to have at least one at home in the event of a power outage. Without power, cordless phones and VoIP may not work.
This type of product also allows you to have a more transparent conversation with higher voice quality. It can be positioned horizontally or fixed to the wall.

The cordless phone works thanks to the presence of the base, which also serves to recharge the device. Today you can buy a cordless phone at a reasonable price (and not by force of the best brand) while still managing to have a decent quality.
Analog or Digital?
Analog phones were the first to go on the market. These models have limited essential functions but are a good solution for those looking for something that doesn’t cost too much.
There are screen devices, which allow you to make video calls. The analog signal passes through cables and can, therefore, deform over time.
Digital landline phones, on the other hand, manage to have a transmission without interference or alterations because the signal is transformed into the binary numeric system, therefore a succession of bits (or of values equivalent to 1 or 0). This type allows for more features, such as double calling or the possibility of making video conferences.

Within the ranking of features to consider, there are options. Having a landline phone that is capable of giving us different services is no small feat. For example, some models allow you to eliminate background noise to have a clear conversation.
Useful is the possibility of being able to identify who is calling, displaying the number or name, and being able to save it in the phone book; in some cases, missed calls can be controlled.
Evaluating the phone book memory can be important for those who use their landline phone for work and need to store many numbers. If you have already seen some items you might like, compare the prices and read the review, so you will be sure to make the right purchase.
Also, don’t forget to check the battery autonomy, in case of cordless, the brightness of the screen, and the keyboard, especially if you need the keys to be clearly legible and perhaps backlit.
How to Use House Phones?
Given the widespread use of cell phones, indeed, smartphones, does the landline phone still make sense? In our opinion, yes, and we are sure that many would never want to give it up.
It is, in fact, always essential to have at least one at home and not only to save money with landline to landline calls while cellular to landline rates are disadvantageous. It is our opinion, therefore, that this type of appliance will continue to be found in all homes for a long time.
There Is Always Field
One of the undeniable advantages of landlines is that you do not have to deal with the signal strength: think, there are areas of the house were talking on a cell phone is practically impossible because the signal is absent.
Consequently, to make a phone call one is forced to go outside; as long as it is summer there is no problem but do you imagine the situation with cold and rain? A landline phone does not discharge because it does not run on batteries, and if the power drops, it continues to work.
Although on this aspect, we will make some distinctions in the following paragraph. The quality of the conversations, just because there are no weak signal problems, is always good and we will not be there saying “How?”, “What did you say?”, “Can you repeat?”.
Cordless
We want to place cordless telephones in the landline category because they are also connected to a home telephone line. Their advantage is that they allow you to talk on the phone and move freely, plus they have a range of several tens of meters.
Therefore you can also chat outdoors as if it were a mobile phone. However, cordless phones are not without limits. First of all, if there is no power, it is not possible to make or receive calls.
Furthermore, their operation is determined by the battery life. The more we talk, the brighter the display and the faster the battery discharges, the situation that prevents you from talking on the phone. Precisely because of the battery life, it is advisable to have two cordless phones in the house.
Use Filters
Almost everyone has an internet connection in the house. Consequently, it is essential to use special filters to be inserted between the telephone cable and the socket so that the quality of the call is not compromised.
If the above filter were not applied, a very annoying noise would be heard. How many filters are needed? We suggest applying one for each telephone socket, even those where the device is not connected.
