The smell is perhaps the most underrated of the five senses, especially by men, yet it is probably able to awaken emotions, memories, and sensations more than others. It works in the shelter of consciousness and stimulates the most hidden and primordial areas of our brain.

One more reason to devote some attention to choosing the perfume for yourself or someone you are attached to. Perfume tells a lot about who gives it and even more about who wears it.

It is no coincidence that Coco Chanel herself, who debuted with her fragrances on the world scene in 1921, considered women’s perfume almost as a tailor-made dress capable of becoming one with its personality; not wrongly.

The fragrance of a women’s perfume must be chosen with extreme care. There may be citrus fragrances very suitable for the summer months, generally based on orange, lemon or tangerine and which stand out for their pungent and persistent notes. Here we will be listing the top 11 Best Salvatore Ferragamo Perfumes.

Best Salvatore Ferragamo Perfumes Buying Guide

Marilyn Monroe confessed to going to sleep wearing two drops of Chanel, and the tragic protagonist of the novel, “The perfume,” killed a woman to smell the aroma avidly.

Be careful, therefore, to underestimate the choice of fragrance for a partner, a friend, or for yourself.

In this guide to choosing the best women’s perfume, we have put together a bit of history, some medical warnings, and all the opinions and buying advice that crowd the network.

A first distinction: all perfumes have an alcoholic base, which allows the aroma to be diluted and mixed and, at the same time, allows functional conservation of a substance that is destined to be in contact with our body.

Eau de parfum has a higher concentration of best essential oils than eau de toilette, and this is the only substantial difference between the two products. It follows that Eau de parfum has a more intense fragrance.

Then there are the so-called perfumed waters, such as rose water invented in the Middle Ages in the Arab world, which have a lower alcoholic component and, of course, more water.

The history of perfume has millennial roots. The famous myrrh brought as a gift to Jesus by one of the magi of the Gospel story, was nothing but one of the most precious perfumes.

These were mainly flavored oils, also used to protect the skin from the sun.

Alcohol-based essences, as we know them, developed in particular in the Renaissance, and Florence exported its perfume art to France, following Caterina de ‘Medici.

Just in France, the famous Chanel was born in 1921, created by the designer Coco Chanel. Today many of the most popular perfumes for men and women are created by the big names in fashion, from Gucci to Versace, from Armani to Dolce and Gabbana.

The Score of Perfumes

When you consult opinions and purchase advice on perfumes, you often read the description of the so-called olfactory notes. This is not an invention of today’s marketing, which also exploits them abundantly.

Traces of this can already be found in the 19th century, by the perfumer GW Septimus Piesse, an Englishman who thought of creating a sort of score of smells, associating perfumes with the notes of a musical scale.

Of his complex theory, described in the volume “The Art of Perfumery,” today only three basic categories survive, which represent the olfactory pyramid of perfume, or its parable.

When you wear a perfume, its aroma does not persist identically until it goes out but knows several stages, in which different fragrances prevail.

The top notes are the ones that ring first in our sense of smell but are short-lived. Follow the middle signs and, finally, the base or base notes, usually the most persistent.

A Matter of Nose, but Not Only

A guide dedicated to the best best pheronome perfumes is difficult to rely on objective data. Personal tastes prevail over everything, and there is no reason to question them unless there are contraindications for health.

The perfume is, however, a chemical product. Therefore it is always good to pay some attention to the substances that compose it—an additional element of evaluation in the comparison between the products on the market.

In particular, from perfume labels, it is possible to check whether they contain allergenic fragrances.

Many of the brands on the market, for example, contain butyl phenyl methylpropianal, classified as one of the allergenic substances on the list of the World Health Organization, but, more generally, considered unsafe for health.

However, there is no need to go overboard with alarms. The perfume is generally used in small quantities, and the percentages of even potentially allergenic substances are always very low. It is unlikely that an allergic reaction will develop due to the use of a single cosmetic product and a particular perfume.

How It Was Born?

Eau de toilette Narciso Rodriguez for her, is one of the best-selling and most loved perfumes by women. It was created in the fashion house of the famous American designer of Cuban origins, who lends his name to the fragrance.

In Italy, he is certainly not known as Valentino or Armani. Still, he dressed John Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr.’s wife, Carolyn Bessette, on his wedding day, and his creations appeared punctually in the Sex and the city series.

Rodriguez’s inspiring muses are Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Onassis, and Greta Garbo.

Examples of style that could also be recognized in the eau de toilette which won two Fragrance Foundation (FiFi) Awards for best new perfume in limited distribution, in the United Kingdom and the United States.

It has been a product on the market for 15 years now, with success, and over time some variants have been made, which can mix and interact effectively with the original.

Narciso Rodriguez has always said that he was inspired by an Egyptian moss oil, received as a gift from a very important person when he was a teenager.

The fragrance, however, was created by the “nose” (as they are called in the jargon) Aurélian Guichard, who in this regard has always claimed to want to create a blend “that would have made a man’s head spin”.

Ageless Elegance

Rodriguez is said to never turn women into “fashion victims”. It does not play, that is, to reduce customers to slum phenomena with “extravagant” creations.

He grew up watching black and white films, and in his perfume, he wanted to enclose the sensual elegance with which those films were full.

The divas once seduced with their eyes and long dresses, and the same can be said of Narciso Rodriguez for her: intense and persistent, despite not being Eau de parfum, but never excessive. It can be worn at any age and, in the end, in all circumstances, even the less formal one.

The version we are dealing with here is the one in the pink “boudoir” packaging, a color that often occurs in the fashion creations of the Cuban designer, in a completely black glass bottle.
